A year ago I lost my husband and retired from working. I thought my life would just be mundane. But my niece opened up a store and I wanted to help. So I help her make candles for Woven Wax Candle Co. Because I'm crafty, I wanted to add some value to her store. So I started Woven Knots by Woven Wax Candle Co. I make all of my products by hand. I added macrame wristlets and macrame gnome diffusers. I really fell in love when I started making car fresheners. I make them in all the scents that we carry at Woven Wax. I get to explore my creativity with painting and decorating these products. I'm glad I can create these beautiful products and add value to my customers life and businesses. My life is not mundane any longer.

When She’s Birdie sisters and co-founders, Amy Ferber and Ali Ferber Peters, prepared to send their kids off to college, they wrestled with the fact that one-in-five women in the U.S. is raped in her lifetime.
