Philadelphia Laser & Industrial Design, or PLAID, sits at the intersection of industry & craft. We're as comfortable with heavy machinery as we are with handmade. Founded originally in 2009, we've gone from working out of a makerspace to our own studio in 2017, then a brick and mortar storefront in 2018. We're native Philadelphians with a passion for our city and for making beautiful, useful products steeped in pop-culture. Lasers are our main tool of choice, but we value curiosity and creativity, so you'll see a variety of products made with a variety of techniques. In addition to our line of goods, we work with brands, both large and small to help them realize their creative visions through innovative marketing, signage and swag. Our work has been mentioned in Philadelphia Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, Thrillist, The New York Times and Good Day Philadelphia in addition to other publications.
