The Little Game that Could. Husband and wife team Mark and Lauren had been playing card and board games regularly with various groups of friends for many years. One day, driving home from a weekend away, Mark turned to Lauren and said 'I want to make a game that encompasses my favourite elements and leaves out the boring bits.' Following months of discussion and play testing, The Train Game® was born. It includes the important things: 1. all of the fun bits that Mark wanted (fast-play, gotcha, suspense, anyone can win, laughter and adrenaline, and a bit of luck) 2. can be taught to anyone (Mark's octogenarian grandparents enjoy it, and we have had reports of children as young as five getting in on the fun too!) 3. doesn't take all day (Lauren's requirement) 4. bright colours and cool characters (also Lauren's requirement) 5. is set in our home town, Melbourne, and is based on the Melbourne Train Network. The Limited Edition first 1000 copies sold out in six months, and with baby Oskar joining our little family business in 2019, and baby Noah in 2021 our first couple of years were very busy. We’ve now expanded to five editions (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, London and New York) with more on the cards (puns always intended). Our two main brand pillars are fun and customer service, and these have stood us in fantastic stead. At the start of 2022 we had officially sold 17,000 copies of our little game globally. We’d love to have you onboard!
