Tara Miko Ballentine founded Bright Littles to fill the need for products that promote thoughtful and engaging conversations between parents and caregivers, and the Bright Littles in their lives, in this quickly evolving world. When she couldn’t find the tools she needed to have those big conversations with her (then) 5-year-old daughter, the entrepreneur in her saw a huge problem that needed to be solved. The Mother in her knew that we could not wait for another missed opportunity to do better for our future leaders. Tara worked with Learning Scientists and PhDs to create the resources that would meet her daughter where she was, in an age-appropriate, fun, and interactive way. Every day is an opportunity to start the conversation!

Snuggle Muffins is an idea that's more than 30 years in the making. Carolyn's vision for the toys came about the time she had her babies in the late 80's and early 90's. Fast-forward 30 years later, after creating a career in e-commerce and children's retail, Savannah brought new inspiration to the idea. Together, this mom-daughter duo brought the Snuggle Muffins brand to life. In today's fast-paced world, we don't spend enough time together in the kitchen. Growing up, many of us thought that cookies were simply made from Tollhouse dough, we didn't know there were recipes that included flour and fresh eggs. The Snuggle Muffins mission is to connect children with their loved ones by offering them valuable life lessons through our short stories, as well as bringing them together in the kitchen. Each story brings a particular message: some that aren't easily discussed between parents and young children. Having the story to read as you wait for your recipe to come to life allows us even more time to spend together.

The People Who Can't Meet You is a children's book about loss that never focuses on what we've lost. After losing my mother when I was 14-years-old, I was aching for a fun and accessible way to talk about her with my own daughters. I wrote what is now a beautifully illustrated, warm children's book that's perfect for anyone ages 0-8. It's a grief book without the grief, and it allows parents and caretakers to talk about people we've lost in a way that children can understand... and even enjoy!
