About Proper & True

Hi! I'm April, the founder and creator of Proper & True. I'm a military spouse and mother of two toddlers. Proper & True was established in 2020. It was during that time that I was inspired to give to others what has helped me for so many years to relax my mind and energy. Candles were completely loved and therapeutic for me after a long hectic day at work or a even a much needed moment of peace while listening to my favorite song. I realized that year that life can be busy, tough and even chaotic but it can also be so beautiful. Being true to who we really are requires a stable emotional well being to show up as the best version of ourselves from day to day. Our mission with our candles are to spark a sense of peace, happiness and healing in everyone who inhales the aroma of our candles so they have a clear mind to be the best version of themselves. We believe a life of serenity is important to the soul starting with self care and self love by taking the time we need to relax, unwind and enjoy not only ourselves but also our family and friends. Celebrating everything always whether big or small because tomorrow is not promised. Candles are beyond eliminating odors, they are soothing souls and we need our souls soothed and reenergized daily. We take pride in uplifting spirits, relaxing minds and decorating homes with our vegan, plant based, eco-friendly products that are not only beautiful, but clean & safe to display and burn in your homes around your loved ones.
