Switchblade Stiletto was brand that I came up after working in the rockabilly and pin up scene for years. It just wasn't my style, so after taking that leap of faith 2002 I finally started my own brand. I want to stay true to my punk rock and rocker roots and pushing the boundaries. I got into lingerie and then began making funny slogan underwear. I do my best to make almost everything here in the USA.

Cara and Rachel, a mother-daughter team, started SORI in 2016 after a bickering conversation about raiding each other's closet sparked an idea for timeless, classic clothes. Mom wanted to look younger and daughter wanted to look sophisticated, SORI can bring youthfulness and sophistication look together. SORI is focused on specialty knitwear sustainably produced with the WHOLE-GARMENT knitting technique using natural fibers with a minimalist design. Through the WHOLE-GARMENT technique, we can create seam-free constructed apparel that captures designed for ease of mobility, comfort, elegance, and finesse in style. The WHOLE-GARMENT technique is an adaptation of 3D printing technology into a knitting method to make a garment without seams. With this, we are able to reduce potential fabric waste 100% during production. SORI is for all mothers and daughters.

I am Heidi Ackley and I am the owner and designer of my clothing line, Pearly Vine. My career in fashion did not start in New York or Hong Kong but in my basement in Columbus, Ohio. I had 4 year old twins, a black cardigan, and nothing exciting to wear under it. That is when I had the idea to take a plain white woven shirt and pair it with some exciting fabric. I added French cuffs to my basic shirt and it created the perfect pop of color. I wore that shirt and received more compliments than I could understand. A business had begun. Since all of our products are made here in Ohio we love to pivot and move with the industry! Our talented seamstresses have the ability to make a headband as quickly as a faux fur denim jacket. This allows us to continue to make classic our top selling items along with following the trends. We are a locally produced, sustainable and ethical brand. How so? We make our products in Los Angeles and have a dedicated team that searches for pre existing and special vintage fabrics dating back to the 1940's. This way the fabrics don't end up in a land fill and can be reused. Instead of producing more fabrics we buy overstock or buy fabrics people are willing to let go of after having a for a long time. We restore them and use them. We use all natural fibers from silks to cottons to linens, so they can natural biodegrade into the earth. ______________________________________________________________________________ The name Merritt is used to inspire people to be kind and to think with merit as a result of your actions.
