We’re a two sister team - Riley designs & Madi does everything else! As two eastern girls living out west, we hope our souvenirs can help you remember the trails you've traveled -- back home and beyond! Four years in, we've sold over 10k units of our original designs. Our art is inspired by the color and whimsy of the national parks and other beautiful places around the United States.

While I was in college, I made plans to own a small business in my retirement. That is, own a business after a very long enjoyable career in education. After graduating from Mississippi State University, I taught for seven days. Just seven. Very. Long. Days. I didn't take me long to realize that teaching for the next thirty years wasn't anywhere near God's plan for me. So to make ends meet, I worked at a bank's call center for a little over a year. In that five by five cubicle with the phones ringing and while simultaneously telling people their checking account balances, The Chester Drawer was dreamed and planned. In April of 2013 after making about $400 at a local festival with crafts that I had made, I left the bank to pursue this business full time. I had nothing but a fresh tax ID number and lots and lots of ideas. Why in the world my husband agreed to this crazy plan, I will never know. We have learned and grown and improved so much in the last ten years. It is truly a joy to be able to share our goods with people like you. I want the items we make to bring a feeling out of person holding it. Laughter. Inspiration. Loyalty. We truly appreciate each of our customers more than you could imagine!

Hartley Co was started as a hobby after becoming a stay at home mama. It quickly grew into a business and helps provide for my Three wonderful boys. They are my inspiration and my motivation. Their names(Tyler, Harley & Colt) can each be spelled from our company name. Hi! My name is Aly and I am the creator of Aly Originals Co. My whole life I have been taught to live the status quo of "working for the man" until I retire at age 65. For me, success was defined as graduating from university and landing a secure job that pays me enough to live until I die. And so I did just that. I graduated from university, landed a job, got my designation in my specific field, received promotions, etc. I did everything that I set out to complete......yet...... I still felt so empty. Becoming an entrepreneur was something I always wanted, but something I never thought I could succeed in. I let my doubts and fears fill my mind with help of my traditional ways. I will never regret receiving my degree, or working 9-5, because it made me realize that I need to control my own destiny. Aly Originals started with a goal of leaving my comfort zones and living life for ME. Now I plan to use it as a platform to inspire others to do the same.
