MyonnaSilk came about when I was thinking about how important haircare is in most peoples everyday lives; we buy expensive hair products to nourish our hair, but most times, we forget about what we use to hold our hair up during the day. I had been using regular hair ties for years, yanking and pulling strands out most times I took it down, and causing breakage every time I wore my hair up. I started using silk hair ties and scrunchies, noticing a significant increase in my hair growth and hair health. This inspired me to create MyonnaSilk to help others achieve healthier hair by switching to silk hair ties. The name Myonna came from a mash-up of two of my favourite things; my dog, Mylo, and my late grandmother, Nonna (Italian for grandma).
