Kristin Holzer is an acrylic artist based in Columbia, South Carolina. She paints in a loose realistic style, and finds her inspiration by the beauty that surrounds her in God's creations, whether that is through nature, architecture, or people. Her passion is capturing memories and moments through painting, and sharing both the process and the results with others. She has loved art since she was little, but decided to pursue art full time in 2021. In high school, an art teacher encouraged her to leave her comfort zone of pencil drawings, and start painting. Watercolor was her first experience in painting, and then she began painting with acrylics several years later and has found it to be her favorite medium. Acrylic painting allows her to paint what she sees quickly, giving a loose yet realistic painting style of beautiful mistakes and corrections. Her goal is to paint every state park in South Carolina and every National Park in the United States.
