It started so simply. I always have had a passion for animals. Everyone in my life expected me to be a Veterinarian and while I worked as a Veterinary technician for several years in my early twenties (and still on occasion volunteer my services at local spay/neuter clinics), I knew that I also wanted to do something creative with my life. I began offering free photography services to local rescues to practice my own photographic skills, so it seemed like the perfect win-win for everyone. Shelter pets were being seen in a new light and I was slowly gaining an entire gallery of dogs and cats to feature in my future tote bag line. A few years after I began photographing pets at local shelters, I joined an art co-op, where I was taught how to screen print. I never expected it to become my career, but as I printed more and more designs, my followers began to grow, I started receiving requests for more and more dog breeds and before I knew it, my hobby had blossomed into a lovely business. So, I decided to take it seriously, buckled down and focused on putting together a website, listing my tote bags on Amazon (where I still directly manage my inventory) and working with other shops and businesses to feature my line. Now, nearly 10 years later, you can find Pet Studio Art totes all around the country! It's a dream to be able to do something creative, work with dogs and make my own schedule. I may work more hours than the average 9-5 job, but I love every minute of it!

THE GREY FOX STORY Our story began in 1951, when a young Danish immigrant arrived in New York City with just $127 to his name and big dreams on his mind. Peer Baekgaard's unique giftware business brought him unexpected success, and when he crossed paths with an ambitious Chicago entrepreneur in the 1980's, he knew he'd met his perfect match. In 1990 Peer married Barbara Bradley, co-founder of Vera Bradley, the colorful iconic handbag and accessories company. In 2018, Barb set out to honor her husband's memory and industrious spirit with the launch of Baekgaard USA. THE BIRTH OF THE INFINITYBELT™ Out of necessity, my co-creator and I conceived an extraordinary product called the InfinityBelt™. You see, we had been complaining to each other (and about each other's appearances) for years! ELIMINATING "BELT BULGE" I wouldn't wear belt loops without a belt in them and was always walking around with a heavy, clunky belt and a bulging belt buckle when my shirt was untucked. My co-creator couldn't stand the feeling of being constricted or weighed down by a belt. She was constantly pulling up her pants and showing a little too much in the back when seated (yikes). To top it off, that little tab over our pants' buttons would create an unsightly protrusion when wearing our fitted shirts. Rogue Life Maine takes our state's love for the outdoors and brings it to the masses with its Maine made bags, backpacks and totes and unique designs. Started in 1969 by owner Mark Rodrigue's parents, Lionel and Diane, the company's maiden shop, Rod Co., became a staple in the community for sports banners, jackets and awards.
