We’re a black-owned haircare brand for the curly, the coily, the wavy, the straight, and the textured ~ AKA all hair types. We believe haircare should be fun & shouldn’t feel forced or chore-like anymore. We think you make good hair, and we make good hair products. The origin of BREAD™ can be traced back to a braiding salon in the 1990s. Growing up, our CEO and founder, Maeva Heim spent her weekends and school holidays at her Mum's braiding salon downtown in Perth, Western Australia. She would help take appointments, braid hair, and sell curly hair products that were imported from the United States - all the while soaking in product knowledge and familiarizing herself with the market dynamics of the textured and curly hair space.Read their story
