Hi there! I’m Heather Miller - the Illustrator and Surface Designer behind H Miller Ink. I’m a Detroit-based art studio that creates bright, happy art for products and colorful humans. All illustrations are hand-drawn by me and have been described as “soulful”, “maximalist”, and “hopeful”. I pride myself in creating relatable, heartfelt art and am dedicated to delivering quality products, focusing on partnering with USA-based manufacturers. I’m inspired by human resilience, deep feelings, nature, traveling, food, and the city that surrounds me in my Detroit studio. Creating art helps me to document moments and connects me to others. I use a combination of colored pencils, paint, and ink. Sticking with traditional art supplies helps me stay honest to my natural illustration style. Through experience, I’ve crafted an art practice that combines digital tools with hand-drawn art allowing me the joy of working with tactile materials and the ability to deliver quality creative for products.
