Launched in 2019, the Gracious Gobbler was created to help families focus on the connection between kindness and gratitude. In a world where our lives can become very hectic, it allows individuals to be more intentional every day in focusing on the kindness we can bring to others and feeling gratitude for the kindness others have shown to us. This seasonal tradition encourages families and classrooms to create a habit of kindness that will continue on throughout the year. This month-long tradition is introduced the beginning of November with a beautifully illustrated picture book. Our soft plush turkey is meant to be loved and its presence serves as a gentle reminder to be kind, slow down and be more mindful each day. A notecard is left from “the turkey” each evening recognizing an individual for their efforts in showing kindness and read aloud the following morning. It is a way to reflect each day on the positive moments and to show appreciation and recognition to members of the family or classroom.Read their story
