About Gudu Designs

Three, Two, One…When the dial of the clock welcomed midnight on New Years Eve 2020. Neither of us nor the world expected the difficulties and realities the pandemic would dawn upon us. Like many individuals, plans were cancelled, and people had to enter, what felt/feels like a never-ending confinement. We had been dreaming and planning to go to Holi in Jaipur, the biggest colour festival in the world and to no surprise with great dismay, we had to cancel our trip in March 2020. Despite the circumstances putting a stop to our trip, it put a start to Gudu Designs. India is a country of colour, passion, nature and spices. To us Gudu refers to the Hindu word Lion, also spelt slightly differently namely “Guddu”, but since both of us are dyslexic, we clearly counted on one another to check the spelling before launching our brand.
