Of course, it’s better to give than receive, yet I had become bored with gift-giving. The most asked for gifts include cash, gifts cards or something from a pre-selected gift list or registry.  This means that giving the gifts that are most coveted requires very little imagination or effort. If you believe the proverb, “it’s the thought that counts” but very little thought (consideration) was required than, logically giving a common or expected gift can feel rather anticlimactic for both parties. Growing up in the 80's, my childhood was always surrounded by art, creativity and imagination. We'd celebrate special occasions & holidays with handmade decorations and gifts, and someone in the house always seemed to be gluing, painting or working on a creation. My mother kept a a drawer that was full of random vintage party goods she'd accumulated & saved over the years, and I soon became obsessed with the treasures in that drawer. The designs and colors all seemed to capture a happy feeling within them... and that's when I fell in love. So here we are, and not much has changed! As a mom of 3, I still love to hand-make decorations for my family's special moments and I've applied my design and creative background to bring that vintage charm of years past to Party & Parlour to create new products that will bring a special kind of merriment to your modern day celebrations. We want people to experience that happy feeling through our products, and I'm so grateful to have such a talented group of female artists that we collaborate with. Hey Ya'll! Back in 2012 I started a small online business on Facebook with making customized flip flops, hairs bows, headbands and more. We have over 16k Likes on my page and flip flops took off like crazy! Doing everything from direct sales designs to cheer-leading teams. I worked back and forth with the flip flops and hair bows till 2018 when I had this great idea to add more products to my shop. Christmas I decided to add crayons! My gosh, never did I thought things would turn out they way they did. This sky rocketed!!! Made it through Christmas, and now thought about Valentine's Day and Easter. I slowly stop making hair bows and flip flops because I couldn't keep up with all 3. With the 3 holiday's that year passing I knew this was something.
