We love organic soaps, but what many people are not aware of is that making organic soap is not that easy! On the one hand, this is due to the elaborate search for maximum biological ingredients and, on the other hand, to the soap production process. Because in order to produce soaps, a lye must be provided for the fats and oils. This still unprocessed lye is corrosive and must never be inhaled or treated. The processing of these two basic ingredients results in a chemical reaction, saponification. The corrosive properties disappear completely and instead the soap acquires its cleansing and dirt-dissolving effect. At SOHO Naturkosmetik, we don't cook the ingredients in between, as is the case with industrially produced soap! Because that would destroy the valuable active ingredients. Industrially produced soap also removes the high-quality, moisturizing glycerine. Our soaps contain it.
