Stemulation was founded in 2008 by Laurie Nicoll Nord, who, after working for a stem cell research company, was inspired to harness the power and science of stem cells in a brand new way. Driven to find a way to capture the healing properties of stem cells for use aesthetically, and fueled by her own skin challenges, Ms. Nord assembled a team of experts to champion her goal. With the help of a team of doctors and scientists specializing in the field of stem cell therapies from such noted institutions as the University of Southern California, Irvine’s noted Bill and Susan Gross Stem Cell Research Center, two years of research and development culminated in the creation of Stemulation Skin Care. Steeped in the science of stem cell therapies Stemulation uses bio-identical stem cell growth factors that mimic the behavior of the messaging molecules that tell our healthy cells how to respond to trauma and fatigue i.e. loss of volume, elastin, and collagen. These growth factors( GFs) act as nutrition for the skin, the same way we supplement our deficiencies in nutrients with vitamins, Stemulation helps to supplement the healthy activity of stem cell growth factors that are prevalent in our youth but diminish as we age.
