# Since 1995, Dolce Mia has been on a journey in pursuit of good living and great design. A journey of torture or pleasure? Ever so much of each! From barrettes to picture frames, clocks, serving trays, boxed notes, growth charts, baby books and ultimately, from the urban Bay Area San Francisco, we found Sonoma County in 2003. Redwoods, salt air, morning fogs, the stormy Pacific, vast coastal pasturelands and vineyards — this is life in Sonoma County, which we offer to you through Dolce Mia — adding elegance to the everyday. We wanted the fragrances we’d love — though country dwellers, we lack not for sophistication — so we went to a perfumer and had them designed. We wanted a shea butter lotion that was as nice as anything we’d ever tried, so we found the best cosmetics formulator in the Bay Area. We wanted soaps made with traditional techniques and natural ingredients — true soaps. So we found the best family-owned soap maker around. Throughout the creative process, our guiding principle was, is this a product I not only want to use but look forward to using? With an upbringing that included Santa Barbara, Nantucket, San Francisco, New York and Paris, we’ve rubbed shoulders with luxury and wealth enough to know that what matters is simple living, small things, paying attention, the sensation of living, now, here, in the moment. In the end, that’s what Dolce Mia is all about. Enjoy your daily routine. Look forward to small chores. Take pleasure in the day to day.
