NEW FOODS is a young player based in Portugal whose focus is to exceed expectations of plant based meat (PBM) consumers by producing a real-feel, meat-like proposition. We have the vision to provide alternatives for the vegetarian and flexitarian consumers so that they can achieve their goals of a healthier lifestyle and a better world. Using the most recent manufacturing methods, coupled with internal and external expertise on this field, has allowed us to move confidently forward. One of the challenges in the PBM industry was that the available options were ready-made or seasoned, which made it difficult to use in a personal recipe. Another challenge was that the leftovers were not versatile, so they had to be thrown away, as their usage in other recipes was limited. We solved this difficult challenge by creating a neutral tasting product that can be applied to any recipe, local or international, and whose leftovers can be used in other foods like salads, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, curries etc. Our product is therefore versatile in use, with a variety of flavors and cuts to suit your needs, and, above all, with a good taste, color and mouthfeel. In regards to packaging, we have a variety of retail packaging sizes to bulk for the catering and hospitality sector. All our products are atmosphere packaged, which allows for greater freshness and shelf life. Read their story
