My name is Gerry Koen. Born and raised in Zimbabwe for most of my life I left to come and build a life for myself in the United Kingdom, namely Somerset. I live in a small village with my wife spending my time creating all things biltong, a love that followed me across from my roots in Zimbabwe. My love for all things biltong, carpentry and Africa were combined to form Billies & Tong in 2014. The business has gone from strength to strength over the years. My products include biltong makers (for domestic and commercial use), spice, chopping boards/cutting equipment and even biltong itself. I have supplied many a company in the industry both in the UK and Europe commercial dryers which in turn has helped them sell biltong on a larger scale. My wife joined the business in January 2021 and with a lot of drive and determination, the business continues to go from strength to strength. We love what we do and this shows in our products.
