Dawn Kikel founded Arcadia Home in 2001 following her travels around the world for business and pleasure. Captivated by the artisan-made goods she discovered in her travels, she decided she wanted to be closer to the world of handmade items, and to help grow the market for handcrafted designs. Arcadia Home was born. The company has continued in its passionate promotion of craft and handmade design ever since. Arcadia Home products are designed in Brooklyn, New York, and handcrafted by artisans, mostly in India and Peru. It is the hand of these traditional makers that ensures each Arcadia Home piece is uniquely special, and made to last a lifetime. Our designs are mostly made of hand felted wool, alpaca wool, or hand painted glass. We source sustainably, and our artisans are experts in their craft - creating the heirloom of tomorrow. In our work with these fabulous artisan groups, Arcadia Home is helping to preserve heritage craft and artforms, promote the principles of fair trade business practices, and provide our customers with the value of an eco-friendly and socially-conscious option.

Our process allows customers to design a candle that is made especially for them. It’s as easy as selecting a pattern, selecting a color, and selecting a fragrance. The result is a beautiful cachepot filled with a delightfully fragranced candle. Hedge Farm candles have a burn time of approximately one-hundred hours, and once the candle is gone, the empty vessel can be used for a plant, flowers, or as a decorative object. Since your cachepot candle will arrive packaged in cellophane with a coordinating ribbon, it makes a lovely gift, and with all the options available, the possibilities are almost limitless. My wife, Jamie, and I started Ornaments 4 Orphans out of our love for Christmas and our passion for helping others. We both love Christmas and Christmas ornaments! Our wedding was one week before Christmas. On our honeymoon, we drove out to the Michigan countryside, cut down our first Christmas tree and decorated it with our combined eclectic ornament collections. We love decorating our Christmas tree with memories old and new! We took our first trip to Uganda as college students. The poverty and lack of development struck us, as did the people who just wanted a chance to work and provide for their families. We came back to the states and started a non-profit to help a small orphanage and primary school. Out of that, Ornaments 4 Orphans® was started. Ornaments 4 Orphans® is a fair trade, social business. We sell handmade products purchased fairly in developing countries. All proceeds are invested back into the communities we work to provide jobs, prevent orphans and keep vulnerable children with their families. Yvonne Leung created Hereafter in 2012, with a single wooden greeting card. This card was a way to express her love in a way that she couldn’t distill into words. At the time, Yvonne was working full-time in finance and struggled to find joy and meaning in her work. It was then that she started making cards on nights and weekends, selling her first designs at local craft fairs.
