Hi, I'm Misty and I own and operate Rainy Morning Candles! Rainy Morning Candles (RMC for short) was born in November 2020, right after my 30th birthday. The world was in the throws of a global pandemic and, like everyone else, I needed something to cure my idle hands. I fell completely in love with creating wax melts and it quickly shifted from a hobby to a business. Our business "theme" is pop culture meets our Appalachian heritage. We take pride in making unique products; using color and fragrances to convey stories and emotions. Our products are vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, and made with high-quality ingredients, all sourced from other small businesses in the USA. In addition to running a successful small business, I'm a mom of three amazing kids and married to my high school sweetheart. They're my motivation behind this business. As someone who grew up poor in Appalachia, my goal is to show my kids you can come from nothing and build something amazing. My momma always said, "It's out there for anyone who wants it, you've just gotta put in the work."
