Welcome to Figure Form, an art shop that celebrates color + texture and deconstructs figure + form. If you believe interior design should reflect our interior lives, you're in the right place. Shana Blakley is the Virginia-born artist behind Figure Form. She's always had an incredible passion for illustrating and painting, but turned toward it as a calming outlet for grief after the death of her firstborn son. Shana writes, "I enjoy everything about the creation process—from thinking about materials and composition, to interpreting colors and shapes from daily life, to the tactile and visual satisfactions of seeing something through completion. We all need a sense of meaningful quietness in the world, and creating is mine." She currently lives in Virginia with her partner Matt, son Hue, daughter Elm, and the warmth and color of their late son October.Read their story
