Lily is a photographer and self-taught oil painter born in Miami in 1981. A lifelong traveler, whose first career was working with refugees in the Middle East, Lily approaches each painting with a deep respect for sense of place. Whether painting a portrait of the land or people, she likes to really bring the environment and energy of each person and place into focus. Lily’s graduate work in Anthropology of the Middle East was focused largely around symbology and religions, and she weaves these universal symbols through her work today. A single mom to 3 boys, a sailor and lifelong lover of the outdoors, she has a deep respect for the Earth that she infuses into all of her work. Lily’s work is held in private collections across America, Canada, and in Europe, Australia, and Hong Kong. She has had solo exhibitions in Boston and on Martha’s Vineyard and has been featured in Artsy, Superfine! Art Show, Voyage Miami, All SHE MAKES Magazine, The Vineyard Gazette, HGTV, Cape Cod Life Magazine, House and Garden, and is on the Create Magazine, The Art Queens, and All She Makes international artist directories. When not painting she can generally be found on or in the water, adventuring with her boys. She contributes a percentage of all sales to charities that help single parents, believing children are our future and the more we do for the children the more we do for the Earth.
