Claudine Castro Art was created to celebrate diverse food through art, as a means to connect different cultures. We create food themed illustrations, products, and art, as a way to show pride in the foods that we grew up with. As female immigrants from The Philippines, we want to create a place where our younger selves can take joy knowing that our food isn't something to be ashamed of, but something to be proud of. After all, food is a huge part of every culture, and we want to normalize the foods that live outside of American school cafeterias. (Can you tell that we were made fun of at school with our Filipino food? Lol.) Our younger selves would be happy to know that our food art products are loved by other people who had similar upbringings.
