The Whimsical World of Thomas Joseph is a small gift brand based in Ireland! The brand offers a selection of homeware and stationery items, made special by the unique artwork of Irish artist Tom Stephenson. As anyone who has journeyed the winding country roads of Ireland and Scotland will know, each bend holds something new! Whether it is the rolling green hills meshed into a patchwork of fields, the ruins of some long-abandoned cottage or merely a flock of sheep pottering nonchalantly up the track, your journey will be full of memorable moments! For Tom, it was the years travelling these roads as a delivery driver that gave inspiration to his iconic collection of paintings. While the landscapes provide a beautiful backdrop, it is the ridiculous antics of the local sheep that make The Whimsical World truly special! Their bemused expressions and, at times, fanciful activities are sure to pull at even the tightest of heartstrings! In the early days, Tom sold prints of his paintings into the Irish gift market from his car trunk! However, in 2000 the brand began to diversify from prints into the homeware and stationery range you see today. Twenty years later and the brand is a staple in tourism shops, farm stores and garden centres across the islands of Britain and Ireland. While the sheep have migrated in the bags of travellers to all corners of the world, Tom continues to paint out of his own gallery, in the small coastal town of Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland.
