Big Red’s Hot Sauce is a family owned company, based out of Phoenix, AZ. Established in 2011. Owner and Creator Paul Ford took his love for gardening and cooking and put it in a bottle. After his assignment to Afghanistan where he had the honor to drill water wells for our troops, he became inspired to pursue the American Dream. Although these facts have contributed to the success of Paul’s full flavored hot sauces, Paul attributes the success he has had to something much deeper. As the son of a pilot in the Marines, and a college instructor, education and discipline was inevitable. By the age of 13 he lost his father and he and his brothers would be raised by their mother. For a time, money was low and stress was high and the temptation to take an easier route was always present. Growing up in Philly, Paul started to head down the wrong path. It wasn’t until he witnessed many young men and friends his age in prison or worse that he decided he wanted better. It was time to turn back to the hard work and discipline he had learned. His mantra became faith and hard work. He read, learned new skills, stepped into leadership positions in every career he held. His accomplishments would eventually lead to a wife, 3 children, and a hot sauce company that you know as Big Red’s Hot Sauce. Paul’s mission in life is to leave a legacy behind for his children, and to let people know that it is not how you start, but how you finish. Read their story
