kd weave began in my home, on a handloom, as a craft & hobby. I launched in 2017, in our small apartment in Houston, Texas, & what began there has now reached people near & far around the world. I still can’t believe this is real! but, real is what we are all about at kd weave. we work with artisans in India who source our cotton, spin it, dye it, then weave it & sew it into the goods we make today. a centuries old craft, weaving is a way of life for the women & communities we work with. what began at home, has now found its way into your homes & lives. it reminds me of how intertwined we all are: that the things & ideas that begin in our hearts & heads can have the power to reach many if only we have the courage to act. in our world filled with artificial & online, kd weave stands juxtaposed with a real, tangible, textured, & human touch. it is my hope when you buy or give our goods, you feel a part of something bigger- woven into a larger community of people.
