I started Preserving My Sanity in 2018 as a lifestyle blog focused on food preservation and cooking, primarily with foods grown or sourced locally. An ongoing message to my readers when sharing about various projects has always been that the best way to learn something new is to give it a try. So, with that in mind, I learned how to make goat milk soap in 2022! Each bar of my soap contains about 1 ounce of goat milk. I source my goat milk from local farmers whenever possible, including stocking the freezer in the fall before the goats take a winter break. From the food we eat to the products we use, it’s just really important to know the source as much as possible.
