Henrietta Lovell founded Rare Tea Company - a loose leaf tea company - in 2004, in London, UK. After leaving behind a career in the city, Henrietta's mission was to replace industrial-grade teabags, waste, and exploitative trading practices with the highest quality leaves, alongside ethical and responsible direct trade principles that Rare Tea still stands by today. As an advocate for flavour, Henrietta is ceaselessly adventuring and collaborating. Rare Tea Company remains independent and selective, priding itself on building long-term, unique relationships. All of the farms and tea gardens that we work with farm on organic principles and so all of our teas are free from chemicals and pesticides. In 2016 Rare Charity was founded to create long-term and sustainable social change by re-investing a percentage of revenue into the young people connected to tea-growing communities. Every tin of tea sold makes a difference!
