Bennd was born out of our passion for yoga, wellness, and the environment. Built on ancient Ayurvedic traditions, we use all-natural, medicinally dyed textiles to support and promote balance in the body. Personal, human connection is essential to both our product design and our relationship with the environment. Each unique piece honors Ayurvedic practices and supports local craftspeople by using handlooms and ethically sourced materials created in harmony with our planet.

Hi there! My name is Mariah, I'm a student of Naturopathic Medicine and a 200 hour certified yoga instructor! I started genYOUine in the hopes of encouraging a business world where environmental and social responsibility come first! I love Mother Nature and I wanted to build a brand that respected and celebrated her. That's why all our products are 100% biodegradable or recyclable and why we use zero plastics. All of our designs are inspired by what makes nature beautiful to us, in a hope of helping people remember that she is 100% genuine and people flock to her. So why should we be any different? Welcome to Yoloha Yoga, creators of the world's first cork yoga mat. In 2012, our founder and owner Chris Willey was building surfboards using non-traditional materials that were eco-friendly, durable and high performing. His pursuit for a better, greener material ended with the discovery of cork. Cork outlasted and outperformed any other natural material and, best of all, it provided a non-slip surface even when wet, eliminating the need for wax for traction. Practicing yoga at a local studio and finding himself slipping on traditional foam yoga mats a light bulb when off in his head. Working out of his garage with the help of his parents, he set out to create the first prototype cork yoga mats, hand-laminating the cork and recycled rubber layers together, working well into the night. The minute we introduced the mats to the local studio, he knew he was onto something special. Teachers would grab the cork mats before any students could get their hands on them. It all started when I wanted to invest in the perfect yoga mat. However it surprised me that my options were limited. I found that the mats that were available were fundamentally flawed, they slipped as soon as I started sweating, were made with harmful chemicals, and were just boring. My mat would be my sacred space so I wasn’t willing to compromise, and that’s when I decided to make a mat that would be a blend of beauty, quality and sustainability. In search of the roots of yoga, I moved from New York to India in 2017. I recruited my mother and Shakti Warrior was born. We set out to create something using the timeless principles of yoga: awareness, high ethical standards, love, beauty and discipline. With this in mind we engineered designs and materials that would enable the warrior to exceed their limitations and generate a life of positivity and possibility. We used fibers that honor both mother earth and us and used only the highest quality of materials. To add joy to your human experience, we added a collection of clothing and other yoga essentials. Shakti is the powerful female energy that runs this brand. We are proud to be a woman owned and operated company.

The idea for Yoga Design Lab started on vacation in Bali. Looking around, our founder, Chad Turner, saw was a sea of unoriginal, mass-produced, solid colored yoga mats. His thinking; there must be a way of creating a highly functional product that was also aesthetically beautiful. The inspiration grew and our journey began. Blending fashion-forward design elements with innovative functionality and bio-renewable consciousness is key to the Yoga Design Lab approach. From our hot yoga mats comprised of biodegradable natural tree rubber and 15 recycled plastic bottles each to the water-based inks used in our printed designs, we believe everyone can start by choosing better products for the earth.
