About The Berry Nutty Farm

This all started with love....both Andrea and Darrell loved their Grandmothers divine Apple Butter and fruit spreads. In the fall of 2010, Andrea's Grandpa "Pa" called letting her know that he had "some" apples at the farm for her to pick. When Andrea arrived to meet up with Pa, he loaded down her car with 5 bushels of apples. He was grinning from ear to ear stating, "I know that you will figure out something delicious to make with them". Andrea and Darrell got to work, combing their Grandmothers' recipes for Apple Butter and came up with a jaw dropping flavor. Have you ever eaten a fruit spread that your embarrassed to say that you took one spoonful intending to put the jar down, but instead, hide the empty jar so no one would see that you devoured the entire jar? The Berry Nutty Farm creates such fruit spreads and fruit butters using their grandmothers’ traditional methods. Yet, the flavors are anything but traditional. The ultimate test was when a friend of ours stole 2 jars with intentions of "highlighting" aka eating the apple butter in front of his co-workers. Aaron's theft turned into a full sheet of orders, which led to us today! As a small batch fruit spread and fruit butter company, we focus on the nutritional aspects, complexity of flavor and simply the complete quality of our products. There was much thought encompassing the nutritional balance with the focus on maintaining lower sugars; while purposefully creating complex profiles for each product. Read their story
