Born and raised in Los Angeles, The Goods is committed to design and craft products that are distinct in every detail. As a team of engineers, designers, and craftsmen, we are dedicated to provide customers with everyday essentials that are functional and minimal. All of our leather goods are sourced and handmade in the United States by skilled craftsmen in our own workshop. We use full grain vegetable tanned cowhide leather which is long-lasting, rugged, natural, and involves no additional processing. The varying grains and marks of the leather mean no two products are ever the same. Other products that are not made in-house are crafted in collaboration with our design and manufacturing partners who are experts in their field to bring you uncompromised quality and utility. After raising a set of identical twins and pursuing a career in Criminology, I moved to the Okanagan in 2010 and felt inspired. I've been fortunate enough to have my artwork collected internationally and highlighted in numerous juried exhibitions, local art shows and galleries. I'm also proud to be a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, an organization devoted to maintaining high standards, consistent skill and proficiency in Fine Art. I offer my vibrant colorful artwork on cell phone covers, decorative pillow cases, mouse pads, duvets and shower curtains to name a few, to liven up people's homes. I also support many charities and humane societies by not only donating paintings and gift certificates for fundraisers but by donating print proceeds to wildlife that inspires my art. I like to think a part of me is in every painting and many of my collectors tell me that these products have such wonderful energy and bring joy to their lives. I love what I do and they're created in a very serene and peaceful environment. I've partnered with suppliers in North America that produce my products using eco-friendly inks, fabric, and offer sustainability by reducing energy waste. They also reduce their packaging and recycle paper onsite and donate excess inventory to those in need, including shelters, non-profit organizations, pet rescues, and emergency disaster relief.

All of our furniture is hand made in our workshop in Glasgow, UK. Our European location, combined with a focus on production efficiency, means we don’t have to compromise. You get the highest quality material at very competitive prices. Since we don’t have to import from abroad like most other retailers, we don’t have to design based on how many items we can cram in a shipping container. We design furniture that we like. Our solid wood is from accredited and managed forests in Western Europe. It is not MDF, re-claimed, or re-used, so it is not made from sawdust or old pallets or scaffolding boards. It is the highest quality available, chosen for its character, and has been carefully dried so it won’t warp in your home. We offer wood finishes designed to accentuate the grain rather than hide it. The steel we use is not the cheap, tinny, thin metal you find in large furniture retailers. Like wood, steel has a grain and a character which we make no attempt to hide. We aspire to minimum harm. All the components are from sustainable sources in Western Europe, ensuring zero exploitation and maximum sustainability. We aim for archetype rather than fashion, and construct our items to last as long as you want them to last. We realise that wear is inevitable - our items look better with age and are easily repaired and refreshed. We don’t offer many products, but we love the ones that we do. When a German visits old Cape Cod… Corinna, born and raised in Germany, settled into Cape Cod shortly after the pandemic hit with her husband and two kids. The pandemic came with so much unknown, but one thing was for sure for the German entrepreneur: the need for THE CÆP. Corinna's dream business allowed for hands free phone-wear that would help to avoid the dropping or losing of phones. In an impossible year to imagine starting a business, she brought this dream to life. Starting the business from the craziness of her in-laws home, she designed the products and hand made beaded crossbody straps and wristlets all while caring for two toddlers and managing the craziness of what was 2020. CÆP phone-wear is not only practical, but allows you to get your phone out of your hand without worrying where it might go. This allowed Corinna to disconnect and focus on what mattered to her most during the first year of starting THE CÆP. One year later, filled with support and growth, Corinna moved out of her bedroom office, into her first office space bringing her dream business from an idea to a lifestyle.
