About Wildfire & Sage

The journey started in Hawaii in 2012, where our founder, Shelly, discovered her passion for helping people treat minor ailments with herbs and food from the land through her work in horticultural therapy. Shelly’s six years of practicing yoga and studying Ayurveda spurred her new interest in natural medicine, and became the foundation for her studies. In order to move forward in this new path, she first looked back, curious about her family’s natural remedies that had been passed down through generations. This brought her back home to Tennessee to explore her ancestral roots through the study of Appalachian folk medicine. During her education, Shelly developed her main tenant of her medicinal philosophy: Mother Nature provides exactly what we need to assist in healing if we know where to look and how to use it. After 2 years, she decided it was time to learn where to look in places beyond the Appalachian Mountains, and so in 2017 she found herself in the mountains of the Tongass National Rainforest. This is the birthplace of Wildfire & Sage, in the moss and mist of the last frontier. Yet every product still retains the understanding that Mother Nature provides what we need in all different environments. Wildfire & Sage hopes to help Mother Nature help you live your most balanced life, no matter what your environment.
