About Alice Mushrooms

Alice's decadent chocolate treats combine the best organic, fruiting-body mushrooms with the best nootropics and adaptogens. This union pairs the long-term benefits of mushrooms with the immediate effects of the nootropics to create an indulgent daily routine that’s good for you and only gets better with time. Alice was born out of a desire to make functional mushroom products that are delicious, effective, and enjoyable to take. It started in our founder Lindsay’s kitchen in Venice Beach. She was leaving a career in pharmaceuticals and looking for holistic ways to address her own struggles with sleep and focus. Mushrooms became the answer, but there was nothing on the market that was fun to consume (read: tasted good), ready-to-eat, and fast acting. So she started formulating in her kitchen with a homeopathic doctor and eventually brought on a team of biochemists, doctors, professional formulators and her co-founder Charlotte. Charlotte has an extensive background in marketing and was getting an MA in Food Studies from NYU. The two began working together from opposite sides of the country to create the perfect marriage of food and pharmaceuticals. They then spent over a year sourcing the highest-quality mushrooms on the market and perfecting both efficacy and flavor. In October of 2022, the two came to market with their delicious, fast-acting formulations -- Brainstorm for focus and Nightcap for sleep.Read their story
