Since starting the business in 2002, with its 1st sale to a large national account, we’ve had all three sisters come alongside their father to transform the business into what it is today. Over the years, we have grown from a general sourcing business to a company focused in product styling and design for the gift industry, bringing you products that fulfill a market demand and are trend-forward. It‘s our passion to do this responsibly, engaging in long-term relationships with our suppliers and manufacturers to help ensure responsible business practices and quality products. We desire to extend these same long-term relationships to you, our customers, through superior customer service and continually new and inspiring product offerings. While our product lines and collections are growing and our business is moving in many exciting directions, we will continue to live out our love for design and to pursue our passion for responsible business practices and long-term relationships with our suppliers and customers.

LUZ Collection was born from wanderlust and curiosity. LUZ was founded in 2013 by Chantale De Breceda, who began importing textiles from Mexico for her store YES in Los Angeles. After YES closed at the end of 2017 De Breceda turned importing into a full time job. She works directly with artists in various regions of Mexico to bring her own designs to life and to source traditional designs. The LUZ catalogue reflects a commitment to work with artisans using natural materials and traditional techniques. De Breceda is a member of the Métis Nation of British Columbia and a descendant of the Cowessess First Nation of Saskatchewan. She brings her perspective as an indigenous person to her business practices and is guided by the principles of respect, reciprocity, relevance and responsibility in her work ethic. Although LUZ Collection is not certified free trade, we make every effort to work using fair trade guidelines.

London born Claudia Pearson settled in New York in the mid-1990s, having traveled to the 4 corners of the world, and began her career as a commercial illustrator. With a heritage in English teatime traditions, it made sense to marry her passion for drawing and her love of travel with a range of hand-drawn illustrated tea towels and so began Claudia Pearson. Ten years later and Claudia's brand has grown into an expansive line of tea towels, tote bags, and other accessories for the home using the finest source materials including canvas and flour sack cotton. The original values of expert attention to detail, ecological awareness, and premium U.S. made materials are evident in her products. 100% flour sack cotton and canvas totes are cut and sewn in the US and then each towel and tote is individually screen printed by a small family firm. Launching her product line from a small weekend booth at her local Brooklyn Fleamarket, Claudia's products are now stocked in stores across the US and shipped worldwide as they make fantastic gifts and home accessories. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two teenage sons and continues to travel as much as she can.

We source all sustainable materials, we partner with nonprofits in our Belief Line, and our hats are made by people paid a living wage and treated with the dignity. Our US and China manufacturers are WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production) accredited. This might sound a little grandiose for just some hats, but shouldn’t all companies use their resources and platform for good, and to treat people and our planet with the utmost dignity? What started as a hobby that involved making bags and accessories for herself, family, and friends has blossomed into Natalie Therese, a business that allows her to share her creations with all of you. Natalie loves organization and clean designs. Everything she produces is simple, elegant and functional. Natalie is also foolish enough to think a product can be all of those things and eco-friendly to boot! That’s why she designs with cork fabric. Cork is a wondrous, natural fiber. It’s sustainably harvested from the bark of the cork oak tree in Portugal and transformed into all her wonderful works in her studio in Massachusetts. Cork is lightweight, waterproof, stain-resistant and anti-microbial. Mother Nature is a brilliant designer in her own right! Simple and sustainable. Clean and earth conscious. Natalie’s passion has only grown since those early days. Every piece she creates is lovingly made with the same enthusiasm and attention to detail as a piece she would make for herself.
