When we were trying to birth a name for Rusty Axe Outfitters, we found ourselves searching for something tough, long-lasting and generational. As a young boy I remember every winter my dad, uncles and papa would go around Thanksgiving into the woods and cut wood for winter. They would gather enough for each of our families homes. The axe my grandfather used was sharpened hundreds of times it seemed. An axe can be rusty. Old. But lasts generations. The blade may go through many new handles in its day but it never gets replaced. Rusty Axe Outfitters was created to be a clothing company that's not only trendy, but also makes you reminisce. Growing up in Alaska, I have always felt a close connection with nature and am infinitely inspired by what's just outside my backyard. All the driftwood I use is locally foraged and I draw most of my inspiration from nature and my surroundings.

We are a simple family-owned business that is focused making things we love and sharing that love with others.     My love for crafting started when I was pregnant with our first chunky bear. I wanted to make a blanket for him but I didn't have any of the supplies and had no idea how to sew. I got my first sewing machine and learned from youtube and other sources how to sew. I immediately fell in love with sewing and making things from fabric.    Anyone with kids knows that it's busy enough without constantly having to move your hair from your eyes. By the time we had our 2nd chunky bear, I was wearing scrunchies every day. I never liked the cheap scrunchies I would find at the store so I started making my own with high-quality fabrics that were so cute too.     Now, with the scrunchies, the idea for ChunkyBear&Me was born. I search for cute, high-quality fabrics and try making different things that I enjoy and I hope other

OllieBug Tot Shop is a Mama owned and operated business. Named after my two boys Oliver (Ollie) & big brother Cameron (Bug). I originally started making paci clips and other things as a hobby while I was pregnant with Ollie to help pass the time as I was unable to work. What started out as a hobby soon turned in to a full business! We have since expanded to offering a variety of products for our customers - including completely custom signs and decor, hand made - in house. Starting this business has been such a blessing for us! I have several autoimmune issues and soon after we found out that I was pregnant with Ollie, I had no choice but to quit my job, and stay at home because I just couldn't physically or mentally handle it at the time. I was working in a field that I loved and had been doing it for quite some time, but adding pregnancy on top of the other issues that I face each and every day - it was not the best choice to continue working traditionally. Running my own business offers my family and I the flexibility that we have always needed. I can stay at home with my children, make it to every school event for my oldest, and -most importantly, for my health- I can work at my own pace & take breaks when needed at any point in time. Having this kind of flexibility is something that I would never be able to get while working a traditional job. I am SO thankful to have the opportunity to be able to now run my own business!

As a young couple, Joel I started our shop, originally called Choice Cuts Industries, in 2012. We fell in love with US tanned, full-grain leather and quickly realized the difference in quality from what is available on the mass market. Good leather gets better with time and develops a rich patina. Many years later, we have made tens of thousands of leather goods from watch bands, to wallets, to bags, and more. What started as creating a macrame wall hanging to place in her own home has emerged into much more. I do my best to be eco-friendly when I can.
