Santevia began in answer to a common health issue. In 2007, co-founder David Anderson struggled with chronic acid reflux. The doctors’ solution was medication for life. Partner and co-founder Yvonne Anderson refused this diagnosis. Through much research she went on to find the root cause of David’s condition: his body was too acidic. Yvonne discovered that a lifestyle shift in the form of alkaline water, an alkaline diet and more exercise could help cure David’s acid reflux. How? These changes promote a more alkaline pH body balance for better health. By exercising more, eating alkaline foods and drinking alkaline water, David beat acid reflux over a decade ago and it has never since returned. It was David’s alkaline lifestyle change and success that sparked the development of Santevia mineralized and alkaline water products. Since the beginning, our beliefs have remained true: we believe water can change people’s lives. It’s that simple. Our vision is healthy for all, shared by all; as such we strive to make healthy water accessible to all. As part of this goal David and Yvonne built a brand with giving back as an integral part of its foundation and purpose. Through Santevia's clean water philanthropy programs, we share healthy water beyond our homes and beyond our borders, which in turn impacts the health, well-being and economic viability of whole communities.
