Freezy Freakies (aka "those magical gloves that change color in the cold") were the raddest winter gloves ever invented! Having grown up in the '80s, aka that mystical decade when Freezy Freakies revolutionized the world, these gloves were the coolest gear in your closet. Why? Because they were “hi-tech” winter gloves printed with totally awesome designs. The most critical part of the design would only reveal itself as the temperature dropped. We’re talking about things like fighter jets, unicorns, race cars and extreme skiers suddenly appearing on the glove out of nowhere. Totally gnarly stuff! At school, we made sure everyone saw us wearing them, and we even looked forward to the cold days since it would activate the images. These were a defining part of countless '80s kids’ early years. But then the '90s hit, and the gloves just disappeared. Unacceptable! Fast forward a couple decades, and we reached out to the original glovemaker to see if they'd consider licensing us the designs so that we could revive this beloved brand. And they said yes! So in 2015, us twin brothers Hans & Karl turned to Kickstarter to bring the brand back and re-launch the original designs. The crowd’s response was unreal, and we actually sold out! Folks seemed to love the brand just as much as we did. We originally launched them for adults only (the generation that grew up with them), and then in 2018 brought them back in kids' sizes too.
