About HAIKU CATS
HAIKU CATS’ quirky line of paper products began with the creation of the HAIKU CATS gift book, published by Kitty Boy Productions (ISBN# 978057811612) and designed and produced by Situation Book. Interest in the book spawned a growing line of related stationery products, all incorporating the same quirky wit and wisdom. Artist/Author Cynthia B. Fraser grew up in a house full of kids, dogs, hamsters, bunnies, no cats. She was well into “adulthood” before she discovered the charm of felines. A chance encounter with a charismatic old alley cat (Kittyboy) led her down an unexpected creative path. HAIKU CATS is an expose of feline behavior (the good, the bad, the snuggly) with an underlying bit of commentary on the human condition. C.B.'s cat collages are a confluence of antique Japanese prints, scissors, ink and an artist who loves nothing more than the surprises lurking in the creative process. The haiku are inspired by feline behavior in all its grace and aberration.
