Founder and CEO Meagan Hayes Kamerbeek grew up in the Lone Star State where she cheered on her Horns and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. This instilled in her the Southern sensibilities of putting your best foot forward and always showing up with a well-put-together Gameday look. A career in the event industry took her from Austin to Manhattan where a love for fashion quickly turned to necessity as busy workdays led to client-based happy hours and industry evening events. While sporting the latest It-bag would have been ideal, as an independent, girl-on-the-go in New York, Meagan relied on personal style, trips to vintage stores and family heirlooms to spruce up lackluster handbags for a look that kept her on-trend. Her desire for high-fashion along with a passion for travel inspired her to create a line of handbags that could make the perfect accessory more accessible to every woman. Price was important, Meagan didn't want anything that didn't fit into the lifestyle of women who want to look and feel great without worrying about the cost of adding an accessory to their wardrobe. In 2013, Meagan successfully launched Klutch Handbags. With the "Clear Bag Policy" that began in 2016, Meagan seized the opportunity to combine her love of sports, concerts and festivals with her Fashion accessories and started Klutch 'K'lear Stadium Bags. As of Fall 2022, Klutch is carried in over 1,000 boutiques nationwide.
