It all started with a wanderer. Traveling to over 60 countries, our founder Alex soon recognized the benefits of packing less. Ditching her heavy suitcase not only saved her time, money, and energy, but allowed her to get off-the-beaten path to explore and appreciate more. She swore by this new way of travel and became devoted to helping other adventurers find similar benefits in packing light. In 2018, she founded Wanderlight to help travelers pack less and experience more so that their journeys can be transformative in their lives and in the destinations they visit. Wanderlight accomplishes this by building a community of like-minded explorers, inspiring them to travel with less, and empowering them with the durable, versatile, and compact travel goods to do so. As our business has grown over the years, so has our understanding of our impact & responsibility. Wanderlight’s focus has shifted from not just helping people travel light, but to helping them travel in a way that is better for both them and the planet. This has led us to discontinuing the use of virgin plastics in our fabric and packaging. All of our towels are now made with 100% post-consumer recycled plastics and packaged in recyclable boxes instead of polybags (you'll see these towels marked as "Eco" in our catalogue). We're also supporting sustainable travel initiatives by donating 5% of our profits to this cause and by getting involved in grassroots efforts in our community.
