Organic Connections Steve Marino and Arjan “Andy” Khiani met 20 years ago while working in fashion. The two began baking together in their home kitchen, blending their culinary heritages from Italy, Canada, and India. Artists Undaunted After going gluten-free, sweet tooth Andy was eggy at the chewy, stale, and altogether underwhelming dessert options. He and sci-curious Steve set out to create a gluten-free flour with a texture and flavor that actually served the recipe. Mission success: their proprietary gluten-free flour blend was the key to the cakes, preserves, and cookies that came next. On the Rise Steve & Andy’s cookies can now be found on shelves nationwide, a colorful family of ten flavors and counting.
