Janet and Ed Croteau met in India back in 1994. There were not many Americans traveling back then and they quickly discovered on a flight from Calcutta to Bangkok that each of them had purchased similar items to sell back in the US at festivals. Janet wrote her parent's phone number on a slip of paper (no email back then!) and Ed called her upon their return to the States. He flew out to California from his parent's home in Connecticut and that was the start of Jedzebel! Janet and Ed were married in 2002 and live in Northern CA with their 2 dogs, Emily and Olivia. Since their early beginnings, they have done many music festivals, street fairs, and wholesale trade shows. They still have many strong family connections with shops in India that organize the production of their lines. They are the original silk sari garment people!
