Flap Happy was founded by designer, Laurie Lipson Snyder, a Malibu, California native and mother of four. Laurie started the business with an idea for a hat that would protect her children’s faces and necks from the sun and elements after not being able to find a functional sun protective hat in the marketplace. Long time pioneers of UV protective baby and children’s wear, Flap Happy has never wavered in its commitment to the health of children, the earth, and protecting future generations. Flap Happy now uses specialty recycled fabric that starts with post-consumer plastic bottles which are washed and chopped into flakes, then melted and formed into chips, which are melted again and made into fibers. This innovative fabrication also offers UPF 50+ sun protection without any chemical additives. Each item Flap Happy makes from recycled plastic bottles recycles 4 plastic bottles on average. For Flap Happy, this was a no brainier. “We like to think that we're saving the earth and its children, one swim hat at a time”.

Rooting in the Southern California lifestyle with formation of first store in Pasadena, California, Claire interacted with fellow mothers and consumers by presenting recognized multi-brands but noted a missing gap among the lines of clothing and accessories for kids. And that void was filled with amazing and enticing ideas that helped to create Petite Hailey. Petite Hailey was made using creative elements and free-chemical safe products in care for Claire's own kids and all Petite Hailey lovers. The clothing fabric is soft for kids from infancy to young age yet durable and washable with minimal care. Petite Hailey was launched in recent years but loved by many kids and parents worldwide. Petite Hailey features unique and chic designs from newborn to 12-year old girl and very soon to be featured for boy clothing line.

Tidewater Tots was born in 2020 as a ray of sunshine during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Our existing apparel manufacturing business had slowed down due to our customer base temporarily closing their operations. At the time, I was a mom of two under two living in Florida and had been searching high and low for unique swimwear that couldn't be found at the local department store, but wasn't too fussy for my tots that play hard at the pool and beach. I wanted simply adorable, tumble-proof, American made swimwear. We began designing right away, and as the swimwear came to life, we found ourselves saying "Oh my goodness, that is SO cute" over and over each day! And so, Tidewater Tots was born. Our company has always treated our employees like family, and it was important to us to keep them employed during this difficult time, and we did just that with the growth of Tidewater Tots! We are proud to remain committed to keeping as much of our manufacturing operations in the USA as possible, supporting local families and the local economy while providing adorable and ethically made products. “Al agua patos” was born in 1994 as a manufacturer of high-end children's swimwear, by the hand of Ana Pujol. Little by little, the diversity of products has been expanding, currently offering all kinds of accessories to the swimsuit. In 2008 we launched our first winter collection. In the first phase we focused on knitwear for babies. Nowadays, the winter collection has been extended to children of all ages, with clothing and knitwear. Both summer and winter collections have a single point in common: a “classic-renewed” air with which a large family can be dressed, from baby to eldest, whether it is a girl or a boy, even with some pieces for parents for a couple of years. In addition, both the lycra and the PES with which we create each of our designs, are produced with recycled yarns from plastic bottles and waste from the Mediterranean Sea.
