Eden works to empower and bring freedom to women and girls who have been trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation. Eden is a registered not-for-profit in Australia, existing to finance, support, and raise awareness regarding the work of our frontline teams in Southeast Asia. We provide a holistic program including safe shelter, health care, trauma counselling, creative therapies, and education; all vital for restoring dignity, health and wholeness. We journey with vulnerable and traumatised women on a path towards freedom, hope, and opportunity. Our jewellery social enterprise provides vocational training, employment, and facilitates economic empowerment for women and their families; breaking the cycle of trafficking and transforming entire communities. Each piece is inspired by the story of a courageous woman and handmade by rescued women. The profit generated from jewellery sales directly enhances the quality of life for the women involved in Eden's programs. Each survivor receives a full day's wage for their work, which is complemented by counselling, creative therapies and educational support. This structure allows them to focus on healing without the pressure to provide for themselves or their families. The jewellery-making process itself acts as a therapeutic outlet, fostering a sense of accomplishment and empowerment. Together with women who have been freed from human trafficking, Eden creates precious jewellery that carries their stories.
