Belicious foods is a result of Portuguese-born Bel's love for cooking and eagerness to inspire people to cook healthy meals at home. Belicious Masala was her first product, and it happened by chance! She started giving out glass jars of masala to her friends, following requests for her recipes. Why masala? Because curry had become a big part of her life since marrying her South African-Indian man… This was by no means an easy task, I tell you (not the marrying the man, which it also wasn’t, but that’s a story for another day) ... the perfect recipe for a Meal Maker that is salt and sugar free, healthy, with an amazing flavour, versatile enough to be used for any curry, that is… As friends further subdivided their masala with their friends and inquisitive neighbours who ran to see what was smelling so good ... these jars of Masala landed up on at least 50 homes before it became commercially available! Bel gladly refilled jars that made their way back to her home, until her friend Jason made the Belicious Masala Logo, and she fell in love with it... Belicious Masala was born ! 😀
