WORNSTAR® was originally conceived in 2002 and officially launched on September 4, 2009. Founded by rock n roll stylist and designer Sylvia Jensen and rock n roll art director, designer and photographer Stephen Jensen. The purpose was to develop a brand that offered striking rock n roll inspired graphic designed clothing along with custom made limited edition stage clothing. But it was more than just making clothing that looked good, they also wanted to make clothing that was high quality and comfortable to wear.

We are family owned and operated and we believe in sustainability – nothing is ever wasted. We believe that all things have a story – thus vintage flannels. We see beauty in what others might toss aside. We believe that comfort should be fashionable. We believe that everyone was born to stand out – no two flannels are alike. Franklin Flannels began in 2015 with an experiment, one vintage flannel shirt, and a talented artist. Dominic is a true creative and the artist behind Franklin Flannels. He is 100% dedicated to breathing new life into vintage flannel. We never dreamed that discovering creative ways to reverse dye fabric would lead to a new way of life. Our company philosophy is that we’re in the “Happiness Business” and our daily goal is to create an outstanding product that makes our customers happy. Growing up in Hong Kong, Ben Perkins lived in humidity. He regularly wore a white dress shirt for school functions, orchestra performances, and church activities. When he wasn't wearing a dress shirt, he was wearing athletic clothing. On one particularly muggy and miserable day while wearing a white shirt he thought, "Why can't I make a dress shirt out of athletic material?" And that is how the idea of &Collar was born. Except in 2008 and as a 13-year-old, the brand was Wicka-Sweat. A few years later after returning home to the US after living in the Philippines for two hot years, Ben decided it was time to make it happen. With that said, Wicka-Sweat needed rebranding. He reached out to the best branding team he knew: his sister and her advertising friends: Lizzi Perkins, Timmy Bates, David Shum, and Jordan Larsen. After breaking bread, the company &Collar was officially formed in August of 2017. From the first meeting in a living room to running the company out of several different garages, we have always kept the goal of producing affordable apparel that will not only keep you comfortable but won't break the bank.
