As a six-year-old, Craig was fascinated with fire and melting things. He would ride his bike to neighborhood garage sales and buy any candle he could find, melting them in a soup can on top of his parents’ wood stove. He used the wax to pour his own candles, inserting a shoelace into the soup can for a wick. Through trial and error, he found better wicks, sometimes removing them from existing candles and using them in his creations. Fast-forward several years, and Craig began experimenting again, this time using strictly natural soy wax. Soy wax is more difficult to process than paraffin wax, but the benefits are well worth it! Our wicks are 100% cotton, our containers are reusable, and we use clean-burning scents free from Phthalates and other materials with similar health concerns.
