ABOUT OUR NAME Sauboon (pronounced saw-boon) is the word for soap in Farsi, the native Afghan language. Every bar we make is a nod to tradition, quality, and craftsmanship—handcrafted in beautiful San Diego, California. MEET THE MAKER Hi! I’m Zulfar — lifelong crafter, mother of four, and the heart behind Sauboon Handcrafted Soaps. After years in accounting, I found myself craving a creative outlet — something that would let me express my love for making beautiful things while still balancing life with my family. What began in 2020 as a small passion project in our home slowly blossomed into a business rooted in creativity, mindfulness, and uncompromising quality. OUR PROCESS All of our products are handmade in small batches using carefully researched formulas designed to be both nourishing and effective. We use a thoughtful blend of rich butters and oils to create soaps with a creamy lather that’s gentle on skin and full of benefits.
